Echoes of history show poster 2nd September 2018 Colin Tebb

Hello to you all,

Following the success of the 2017 show, we had planned to continue at the same venue for 2018. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure the site for the dates we required and took the reluctant decision to rest the show for 2018.

We recently announced on our Facebook page, that we intended to return with a new show in 2019. Following discussions with the new site land owners, we are pleased to be able to confirm our intentions to run a new show at Purleigh in Essex.

The name of the new event will be: ???Echoes of History???. The change in venue has presented an occasion for us to take the best bits of many previous shows, merging them into what we expect will be a fantastic event, giving us the opportunity to promote multi-period living history as well as military history through the ages and of course the historic military vehicles that are so much of a special feature of our show. The show will take place on the 10th & 11th August 2019 at the Purleigh Halt Showground, Barons Lane, Purleigh, Essex CM9 6PF. - Please note: this is NOT a postal address for correspondence.

The new event will continue to be run on a charitable basis by a team of unpaid volunteers, with profits going to support the Charity and other good causes. Many of the Essex HMVA team will remain in place from that worked on previous Military and Flying Machine shows.

Our new show website - https://www.echoesofhistoryshow.com will be up and running shortly with further details about the new event. Our Facebook, Twitter and Newsletter names will also change shortly to reflect the new title.

There will more information and details soon, but in the meantime, please remember to put the dates for 2019 in your diary.

I would like to thank all those involved in the Essex HMVA for helping make this happen, our supporters who have stayed loyal to us while we searched for a new venue, the Purleigh site owners, Maldon Council, and John Whittingdale, our local MP.
