Following advice from the UK Government issued on the 16th of March that suggested all unnecessary social contact should be avoided, the Essex HMVA trustees have taken the difficult decision for the wellbeing of our members, trustees and visitors alike to cancel the March and April club meetings as well as the forthcoming Drive It Day, Armed Forces Day and VE Day events. We are disappointed to have to do this, but the most important thing to us is the safety and welfare of our members, visitors and trustees.
At present, we are continuing our planning for Echoes of History to take place as intended in early August, However, we are also actively monitoring advice from Public Health England as well as from central Government and will base any decisions about holding Echoes of History 2020 on their advice and recommendations regarding the safest course of action for all attendees.
Our team will continue to work behind the scenes while complying with government health advice. We will endeavour to keep the Essex HMVA website updated as well as providing articles to keep you entertained and informed during this time of crisis; while our meetings may not be happening, our website will be well and truly open!
Please follow us on Social Media and check our website so that we can keep you informed of any changes.
Thank you for your ongoing support, patience and understanding at this challenging time,
We look forward to welcoming you back in person in due course.
